yiayia’s kitchen
Graphic Design assignment - Farmingdale State College
Fall 2025
OverView
The project brief was to create a brand identity and packaging for a tea company that doesn’t want to look traditional, overly delicate, too pretty, or elaborate. The target audience for Cozy Sips are relaxation cravers, ages 35–55, who look for ways to unwind after a stressful day. They see drinking tea as a form of self-care and enjoy the calming routine of preparing it, which helps them relax and transition out of a busy mindset.
Cozy Sips main goal is to reduce stress and create small moments of comfort in throughout the day. They wanted their brand to reflect that as a way to resonate with their target audience. The deliverables were four product package variations, a supermarket sell sheet, and a supermarket shelf ad.

Design Story
I approached the project by researching the target audience and visual elements tied to warmth, tradition, and home-cooked meals. I then brainstormed through mood boards, sketches, and word associations focused on heritage and comfort. From there, I developed visual directions for Yiayia’s Kitchen- where tradition meets modern- through color palettes, imagery, and typography. Through feedback, I refined the strongest concept into a final design that reflects the message behind Yiayia’s Kitchen.
brand colors
The Cozy Sips color palette reflects the brand’s calm, comforting personality. The soft, muted tone creates a relaxing feel without overwhelming the eye, while the darker secondary colors add subtle contrast and consistency. Together, they support the brand’s focus on relaxation.
